Who we are...

 

Our parent company 'Quality Decorating Services, Inc.' was formed in January of 1990. We began with just doing straight painting jobs in the south suburbs of Chicago. Before long we added drywall repair work, wood trim installation and even some light remodeling.

Soon after we became the preferred contractor for a large parking garage company in Chicago. There we painted the walls and ceilings many parking garages, spraying many, hundreds of gallons of paint.

While servicing the parking garages we began to add more decorating services for our residential clientele such as: installation of ceramic tile, electrical work, plumbing, custom draperies and carpeting. We saw the need to assist our clients in choosing the right colors and products to bring 'color harmony' to their entire home.

We soon realized the large impact that both faux and decorative painting was having on the industry. We began to search for information on products and techniques. After careful research our team members began their schooling. So we can proudly say that our artisans have been professionally trained and certified at the "The Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes" in Carol Stream, IL, under the direction of Kathy Carroll.

This is when “Artistic Touches” was born, enabling us to show our specialized services in the Faux Finishing industry. We now offer a full line of professional faux finishing products that are manufactured in the United States, Italy, Germany and France which are both quite affordable and gorgeous. Most of the products that we use are either white, light gray or clear in color, therefore our talented staff will custom color match and/or harmonize your finishes with the colors that you already have in your room. We believe that the faux finishes you choose should never dominate the space, but enhance what you already have in the room.
