What is Faux Finishing?
Faux finishing or decorative finishing is the technique of applying a color
or colors of various glazes, plasters, etc., to create movement and/or
texture to the walls, cabinets, furniture or wall hangings, etc.
How the process begins . . .
When you contact us, we will ask you a few questions regarding the area
or areas that you are interested in decorating. This information will help
us be to better prepared for your consultation.
Pricing
Each project is priced individually, and we base our price on factors such
as: square footage, wall/surface type, obstacles (windows, doors, etc.),
height of the wall, etc. But most importantly, we will assist you in finding
the right finish for your home and priced within your budget.
Your personal consultation . . .
During your personal consultation we will view the areas that are to be
painted, take measurements and assist you in choosing the best color
combinations for the room and surrounding spaces. You will have the
opportunity to see our extensive portfolio featuring many styles of faux
finishing. These samples will be available for you to touch and feel the
various textures that make our creations so unique.
There is a $65.00 personal color consultation fee which may be applied
to the finish that you choose. We have years of experience, so we can
assist you in making the right color choices for your home.
After our visit . . .
We will go back to our office to prepare a proposal for your specific needs
and present it to you either by telephone, fax, email or via the postal
service. This is necessary to insure the best possible price for the custom
work that will be done.
Once the proposal is agreed upon, signed and a required deposit of 35%
to 50% is made (depending on the project) this will reserve your place for
a start date and begin creating a sample board in the colors and
specifications you requested.
